International Trade Policy and Sustainability:
Economic impacts of trade policies and non-tariff measures on global agri-food systems, with a focus on traceability, sustainability, and market power in seafood and agricultural markets. Future work extends to analyzing environmental and social dimensions of trade policy.
Household Consumption and Food Economics:
Micro-level analysis of household food demand, nutrition, and welfare using large-scale survey and scanner data. Ongoing and future work explores heterogeneity across income, demographics, and regions using advanced demand system models.
Applied Econometrics and Structural Modeling:
Application and development of empirical frameworks such as difference-in-differences, gravity models, and structural demand systems (QUAIDS, EASI) to evaluate policy shocks, trade regulations, and welfare effects. Broader interests include causal inference, microeconometrics, and machine learning for policy analysis.
