Why we're ANTI-PERC
Most dry cleaners use tetrachlorthylene ( commonly known as " PERC"). PERC is a volatile organic compound that poses a health risk to our bodies and protrudes a threat to the environment. Such exposure to our body can cause skin and respiratory irritation, headaches, dizziness, and nausea. Long term exposure can cause liver and kidney damage and cancer.
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) discovered that clothes dry cleaned with PERC can increase the levels of the toxin throughout your room where garments are stored. Nursing mothers exposed to PERC may excrete it in their milk, placing their infants at risk.
