Internship Tips: Many students are about to begin a summer internship, and a successful young professional offers advice: (1) Be open-minded and curious; (2) Own your development; and (3) Network, network, network. Lead Like Spring: Drawing upon the rhythms of spring, Dr. Kathy Allen offers advice that may be relevant for early-career professionals in agriculture, “Spring’s Important Lessons for Regenerative Leaders.” The article describes the importance of thawing the ice, inviting nature in, emerging from collective dormancy, and navigating transitions with nature guidance.
Doing vs. Role: In a report answering the question, “What is leadership?,” McKinsey & Company offers an important distinction: "Leadership is something you do and not something you are. It is a person’s actions, rather than their words or job title, that inspire trust and commitment." How might this insight inform your approach to leadership?
