Entry-Level Skills in Demand: Recent research with agricultural employers in Australia noted: “Key non-technical skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and cross-cultural competence were found to be in high demand, particularly among seasonal and entry-level workers” (McDonald et al., 2024, p. 1). Is the same true in the United States? If so, the AWT4CL project is working to bridge the gap.
Career Cluster Content Standards: The National Council for Agricultural Education recently revised the content standards for Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (AFNR). The related resources include sample measures for Career Ready Practices, as well as the Education, Communication, and Leadership Career Pathway. How might you make use of these frameworks?
