AWT4CL Update for January 2024
Happy New Year: As you prepare for the year ahead, be sure to take time for reflection and learning from the year that has passed. To assist with the process, check out Dr. Curt Friedel’s blog post on “Your Year in Pictures,” which draws connections to Kolb’s experiential learning model. To learn more about AWT4CL project achievements over the past year, check out the AWT4CL Blog.
VCCS Agriculture Faculty Meeting: On January 12th, 1-3pm, the AWT4CL project will collaborate with the VCCS Peer Group for Agriculture and Food Systems in a meeting for idea sharing and exploration or opportunities for the year ahead. For more information, contact either Eric Kaufman (EKK@VT.Edu) or Adam O’Neal (aoneal@virginiawestern.edu).
Employability Learning Badges: As 2023 concluded, Dr. Mallory White reflected on her experience Integrating Employability Skills in a Traditional Ag Classroom through Learning Badges. The blog post offers insights on both student and teacher perceptions of the experience with AWT4CL badges. For more AWT4CL project-related blog posts, go to: https://sites.google.com/vt.edu/awt/blog
