A functional code that allows for successful use when using petri dish holder and Opentrons design website in conjunction. This code includes automation of pipette tip pick up, aspiration, dispensing, and tip drop. It also includes code for heat shock, incubation, and mixing.
A 3D printed tray to hold the lab's petri dishes. Must be compatible for 6cm, 9.4cm, and 10cm diameter circular dishes. First image is the CAD file of the left half of the petri dish holder (right half identical) with dimensions in mm. The second image displays final design with concentric circles to accommodate the various sizes. The third image is the first 3D printed prototype used for testing in the lab and final dimension decisions. The fourth image is the first CAD drawing sliced in CURA software, showing the oversized dimensions for the Ultimaker 2+ printer.
The existing DNA transformation procedure needed to be modified to be more amenable to the capabilities of the OT-2. This code now allows the OT-2 robot to properly incubate by aeration via vortexing and utilize spot plating methods. To further improve on the transformation protocol a dilution section needs to be added
