2021 ARMA Student Design Competition - FLAC/Slope Webinar

As part of the first ARMA Student Design Competition, this webinar will introduce the use of FLAC/Slope for slope stability analysis. The competition is sponsored by Itasca and the University of Kentucky College of Engineering and is hosted by the ARMA Student chapters at The University of Kentucky and Virginia Tech. ARMA will provide a jury of leading experts in rock mechanics/geomechanics with the winners to be announced at the 55th US Rock Mechanics / Geomechanics Symposium in June 2021.

In this webinar, Dr. Loren Lorig will review the basic concepts of slope stability analysis using FLAC/Slope, a free and simple to use numerical modeling program from Itasca. Topics that will be reviewed include:
