SYRACUSE, N.Y. — After a 7-0 home loss to No. 11 Duke on Sunday, Virginia Tech looks to bounce back Friday in Syracuse with a win. The Hokies are looking for their first conference win this season, currently sitting 12th in the ACC standings.

Tech is 2-4 overall, 0-1 in the ACC this season. Senior Nina Sorkin has four wins this season, which leads the Hokies, while freshmen Tamara Barad Itzhaki, Katie Andreini and Sabina Richtrova have had strong outings too.

The Orange are 3-3 overall, 2-1 in the ACC this year. Natalie Novotna, a graduate student, is a former second team All-ACC performer for the Hokies who transferred in the offseason. Other than Novotna, Syracuse has two ranked singles players who are ranked nationally in their lineup: No. 81 Guzal Yuspova and No. 121 Viktoriya Kanapatskaya.

After the Hokies stop in Syracuse Friday afternoon, their road trip will conclude in Chestnut Hill, Mass. against Boston College.
