TECH DROPS FOURTH STRAIGHT MATCH, PLAYS RANKED ND SATURDAY

BLACKSBURG, Va. — Virginia Tech lost dropped its fourth straight match to Louisville on Friday evening, 5-2. Tech is still searching for its first ACC win this season. The Hokies currently sit in last place in the conference.


Tamara Barad Itzhaki and Nika Kozar won the only two sets of the day for the Hokies between doubles and singles. Itzhaki earned her first career win on court one. Both Kozar and Itzhaki had to overcome deficits in their singles matches to achieve victory.


Looking ahead at Tech’s upcoming opponents, No. 49 Notre Dame comes to Blacksburg on Saturday. It will be the second ranked match of the season for Tech. Its last ranked match was against Duke, falling 7-0.


Virginia Tech takes on Notre Dame Saturday at noon in Blacksburg at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
