Virginia Tech huddles against Xavier. (Virginia Tech Athletics)

BLACKSBURG, Va. — Virginia Tech (2-6, 0-3) looks for redemption against Louisville (5-4, 2-2) at home on March 5 after a three-match losing streak.

The Hokies met with Louisville last on Apr. 5, 2019 and Tech secured a 4-3 win over the Cardinals. All time, the Hokies are 8-2 against the Cardinals and Tech has taken all of its home matches.

Louisville is just as cold as Tech is and has dropped its last two games to North Carolina and Duke. In the ACC, Louisville sits at seventh in the standings, while the Hokies are in last after falling to Duke, Syracuse and Boston College in recent weeks.

The Hokies opened conference play on Feb. 21 and have struggled to find their rhythm against conference opponents. They came close against Syracuse, however, on Feb. 26 with a 4-3 loss.

Tech will take on Louisville at home on March 5 at noon.
