BLACKSBURG, Va. — No. 36 Virginia Tech (7-4, 3-2) faces Clemson (6-7, 1-4) on Friday for another chance at a home court win.

The Tigers won their last meeting on Sunday 4-0 against Mercer. Meanwhile, the Hokies are currently on a two-game winning steak and are 6-0 at home.

Tech holds a winning record in the ACC and stands at No. 6 in the conference, while the Tigers have had a rough time with in-conference opponents, finding themselves close to the bottom of the pack at No. 10.

The matchup looks to be tilted in favor of Tech, especially with its heavy success at home this season. The Tigers have only played two away matches, going 1-1.

For Tech, Alvaro Saez-Royuela Ariza is on a hot streak, winning his last four singles matches.

Two of Clemson's players, Jorge Plans Gonzalez and Spencer Whitaker, are on a three-match winning streak in singles play.

Meanwhile, the Hokies have duo Jordan Chrysostom and Ryan Fishback with a three-match doubles win streak. Additionally, Ryuhei Azuma and Whitaker are a threat for the Tigers having won their last five doubles matches.

The last time the Tigers and Hokies met was on March 22, 2019 when Tech shut down Clemson with a final of 6-1.
