BLACKSBURG, Va. — No. 36 Virginia Tech (8-4, 4-2) looks to remain undefeated at home on Sunday against No. 45 Georgia Tech (8-6, 2-4).

The Yellow Jackets are even on opponents’ courts, 3-3, and dropped their last match on Friday vs. Virginia. The Hokies dominated Clemson in their last meeting with a 4-0 win over the Tigers.

Tech’s Alvaro Saez-Royuela Ariza continued his winning streak against the Tigers and has now won five of his last matches. The freshman has asserted his dominance on the court for the Hokies and is seeking his sixth consecutive win against the Yellow Jackets.

For Georgia Tech, Marcus McDaniel and Pablo Schelcher are on a win streak of three in singles play.

In doubles, Jordan Chrysostom and Ryan Fishback have a four-match win streak for the Hokies, while the Yellow Jackets have a team of Chen Dong and Andres Martin holding a five-game streak.

The last time the two teams played in 2018-19, the Hokies won 4-2 in Blacksburg. While Virginia Tech looks to keep the streak against Georgia Tech alive, the Jackets are ready for revenge.
