Virginia Cooperative Extension is excited to offer virtual sessions of Stanford University's Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP). If you or a loved one is living with a chronic condition, you know that how we manage our conditions on a day to day basis greatly determines our symptoms and quality of life. CDSMP participants practice evidence-based tools to control their symptoms, better manage their health problems, and lead fuller lives.
CDSMP has enhanced the lives of hundreds of thousands of people around the world. This small group workshop is held over Zoom for six weeks. The weekly sessions are highly interactive, focusing on building skills, sharing experiences, and support.
CDSMP aims to help people and their caregivers with chronic conditions including anxiety/depression, arthritis, autoimmune disease, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, long COVID, and more.
VIRTUAL: Begins January 7, 2026. Meets on Wednesdays from 10 am to 12:30 pm, ends February 11. Leaders: Brandi Pettey & Laura Reasor.
