Kick Off

Families who are interested in joining the Vinton-Shellsburg & Benton Community HSAP will attend our kick-off night to learn about the different offerings for the year and fill out enrollment paperwork.

Families enrolling in the VS/BC HSAP will be assigned a supervising teacher who will support and encourage families throughout the year. The teacher will meet the required contacts with the family.

Field Trips

Group field trips will be available for our families to attend throughout the year.

Classes

Our teachers will offer classes for students enrolled in our program. The type of classes may be different each year and will be explained at enrollment night.

Activities

Each week we offer a rec/park/gym time for our families to come together and play games and get exercise.

Lending Library

Our lending library has a variety of resources available for families to check out and use as needed. Some of the resources include math and reading curriculums.

Dual-Enrollment Options

Families who are enrolled in the HSAP have the option for dual-enrollment . This would allow students to take advantage of classes and activities offered through the public school. Students would take those classes or participate in activities in their residing district.
