Kindergarten through second grade can checkout one 1 or 2 books at a time. Kindergarten has a "practice" period at the start of the year. Teachers may opt for their students to keep their books in the classroom until they are comfortable sending them home.
Third through fifth grade can checkout 2 books at a time. For research or a special project, they can get permission to checkout additional books.
If a student forgets their books during the scheduled visit, they are usually allowed to checkout. They will need to return the other books soon. However, students with particularly late books may not be able to check out until the issue is resolved.
Students may return or checkout new books at any time (not just scheduled visits).
No fines are charged for overdue books, but students are asked to return books promptly so that others may use them.
If a book has been determined lost or returned damaged, payment for a replacement may be required.
Checkout policies are subject to change at librarian's discretion.
