Accelerated Math & 6 Math
Accelerated Math:
This week we took a test over Topic 1 on Tuesday, grades are updated in Infinite Campus. Students can do corrections to earn 1/2 credit back. We started Topic 2 with integers and rational numbers and will have our first quiz next Tuesday. It will be over integers, opposites, rational numbers on numbers lines and absolute value.
6 Math:
This week we took a quiz over decimal operations and multiplying fractions on Tuesday. Grades are updated in Infinite Campus and students can make corrections for 1/2 credit back. We also started lessons over dividing fractions.

Reading
In Reading this week, students have begun their new curriculum from a program called Amplify. We will mix using a physical textbook and online resources.
Writing
In Writing, students have continued with our parts of speech and are focusing on verbs. To practice, students are performing 10 different activities at separate stations and then writing down a sentence containing a subject and a verb.

We learned about hope and rebuilding after a tragedy - 9 Eleven. We learned about how dogs played a critical role and helped with the rescue efforts.
