Course Information

IBCAIt is the purpose of the Introduction to Business Computer Applications course to provide students with basic computer application skills. Students will be introduced to the touch method of keyboard operation, which will be utilized to produce business documents and presentations. Emphasis will be placed on basic computer concepts, hardware and software identification, word processing, and presentation skills.

Financial Literature- This course applies students' interpretation of basic mathematical concepts to common business usage covering such topics as percentages, interest, trade, bank and cash discounts, payroll, time value of money, and business loans.

World Geography- The study of the world’s peoples, places, and environments, with a focus on world regions. Particular emphasis is placed on students’ understanding and applying geographic concepts and skills to their daily lives. Course also includes the study of the relationships between the earth’s people and their physical environments, application of map skills, and the physical and cultural features of the different world regions.

Business Law- encompasses all of the laws that dictate how to form and run a business. This includes all of the laws that govern how to start, buy, manage and close or sell any type of business. Business laws establish the rules that all businesses should follow.

Math Essentials-This course applies students' interpretation of basic mathematical concepts to common business usage covering such topics as percentages, interest, trade, bank and cash discounts, payroll, time value of money, and business loans.
