Science and leadership 

The science department offers students an opportunity to explore the physical and biological world at a level and intensity appropriate to his or her interest. We recognize that it is as important for students to experience how science develops explanations, as it is to master the content of a given course. Therefore, laboratory investigations are an important part of our courses. 

Leadership Class: This course provides an opportunity to study, practice, and develop group and individual leadership and organizational skills. These skills include, but are not limited to the following topics or areas: Leadership roles, interpersonal relations, project planning, goal setting, civic responsibility, decision making, and communication. This course takes a hands-on, lab oriented approach to leadership by involving students  in  participatory leadership through project planning and implementation.
