Geometry

Course Description

In this course, our main focus will be on algebra. We will be dipping our toes in geometry & measurement and probability. The focus will be on learning how to solve more involved problems and learning about inequalities.

Missing/Late Work

When you are absent, you are expected to make-up the work you missed. There will be a folder on the back board in my classroom that will often contain work that was missed. See me if you have any questions. YOU are responsible for the work you miss. If you know you will be absent in advance, try to plan ahead so you do not get behind. If you turn in an assignment after the due date, you will only be able to get up to 75% of the original points.

Daily Warm-Up

At the start of each class, you will be given 5-10 minutes to complete your daily warm-up question. This will need to be done in class. Daily warm-up questions will be 5% of your grade. Daily warm-up questions cannot be made up. You must be here in order to get your points. This is another reason why attendance is so important! Make sure you are here!

Expectations

I expect you to come to class with a good attitude, a pencil, and a notebook. If you need to borrow a writing utensil, I have extra but it comes at a cost. If you plan on passing this course, you will need to put in the work. You are not expected to know everything, but you are expected to do your best.
