NOTE: As our program grows, we will open a separate preparatory academy for grades 10-12. In the interim, grades 10-12 are welcome to participate and will be expected to produce work appropriate for their grade level and age.
Member families of Voyagers Intermediate Academy are responsible for choosing their own core curricula beyond our scope and sequence. Our core classes include the following subjects: chapel, humanities (history, social studies, literature), and logic. (see course descriptions in our handbook).
Biblical Truth is the foundation of every aspect of Voyagers. Every morning will begin in The Word.
Leaning heavily on the influences of classical education, we will explore how the experiences of historical giants and literary greats impact our lives today. Through a combination of reading, teaching, discussion and capstone assignments, this class guides students through the Great Books to discover answers to some of the greatest questions in life, such as:
What is the purpose of life? What is friendship? What is love? What is temptation? What is virtue?
Continuing with the goal of cultivating mature thinkers, eloquent communicators, and virtuous Christians, our logic class will explore formal and informal logic.
