From 2021-2022, I served as the vice president of Voyager's National Honors Society. I am also the leader of our Service Club, A leader for our Viking Christian Fellowship, and captain of the soccer team. Outside of school, I volunteer at my church and other small events. In the fall I will be attending UNC Chapel Hill to major in Business Management with minors in Psychology and Spanish.

I served as the first ever Parliamentarian of Voyager's National Honors Society.  Over my four years I collected around 700 service hours. Outside of school I run a media business that provides highlight videos to athletes in the area to help them reach the collegiate level. In the fall I will be attending UNC Chapel Hill to major in Broadcast Journalism with a potential minor in business.

During my senior year of high school, I was lucky enough to serve as the NHS President and receive the NHS scholarship from the national program!! Despite complications due to Covid, we continued the Reading Buddies and Peer Tutoring programs and emphasized volunteering virtually and in-person, when possible. It was hard work, but connecting with younger students during a time of such strife was more than worth it! NHS is a wonderful program that helped me get to my dream school, UNC Chapel Hill!

President: Devan Desai (12th Grade)

Devan Desai will serve as the VAHS National Honor Society President for the 2018-2019 School Year. He was the NHS secretary for the 2017-2018 academic year.  At Voyager, Devan is an active member of many clubs and holds leadership positions in both Service Club and Science Olympiad. He is also a Varsity Tennis Player. In addition, Devan is a student in the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Online Program and is pursuing a concentration in Human Health and Life Science. Through NCSSM Online, he is an active member of SIDE (Student Instructors Develop Enrichment), a club in which he has developed academic enrichments in a variety of subjects for students in Grades K-9 throughout North Carolina. Outside of school, Devan enjoys volunteering with Duke Regional Hospital and other local organizations as he hopes to pursue a medical career in the future. Additionally, Devan is a trained and certified harmonium player in Hindustani classical music and serves as the President of the Student Action Board of the Triangle.

Sloane Freeman will serve as the VAHS National Honor Society Vice President for the 2018-2019 School Year. Sloane is an active member of the Service Club and often looks into service opportunities for herself and her classmates. She also is a member of the Voyager Women's Varsity Soccer Team and was granted the Coaches Award for the season. Outside of school, Sloane enjoys volunteering with The Summit Church and playing club soccer. She is looking forward to being a part of  Voyager's National Honor Society  and continuing her work when it comes to improving the community and the school.
