Meet Mrs. Miller!

Hi there!  I've been teaching since 2005 and have been at Voyager Academy since 2008.  Until 2021 all of those years were in Science. Now I've moved over to the Core Connections classroom! I love that this class lets me develop projects that not only carry over and enhance all the learning you do in sixth grade, but allow you to use your skills, discover new ones, begin to answer the "when will we ever have to use this?" questions, all while having fun learning and creating!

I live in Durham with my husband and 3 awesome kiddos and cats. I've been around this area all my life and went to high school at Durham School of the Arts. I am an Appalachian State graduate and the mountains are my happy place! I enjoy exploring and dabbling in all sorts of creative things but my favorite creative outlet is photography.
