Mail-in ballots cannot be submitted at polling places.
What will be on the ballot?
Voters will be asked for permission to borrow $51,108,682. Even though state aid will contribute toward the amount, Shore Regional High School District would be named as the debt holder, so voter approval is needed for the full amount.
Much like a homeowner would finance improvements through a home equity loan, the district would pay for projects by borrowing (through the sale of bonds) and spread those costs over the 20-year life of the loan. The amount to be repaid would be offset by approximately $14 million in debt service aid (state aid) and shared by all property owners in Monmouth Beach, Oceanport, Sea Bright and West Long Branch.
Regardless of how you cast your ballot, an up-to-date voter registration is required to vote. A voter must be registered by Feb. 18, and the registration must reflect current name and address.
Check your voter registration status in the state database.
Register online, or update your name/address by completing a voter registration form.
Register by mail - print and mail a paper registration form, offered in English and Spanish, to the address on that form. More details about voter registration are available at the Monmouth County Clerk’s Election Division website.
