Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy has been shaped by my experiences as both a student and an observer of outstanding educators whose passion for teaching left a lasting impression on me. I have been fortunate to experience exceptional instruction at every stage of my education, from high school to my undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies. Their ability to challenge, inspire, and mentor had a transformative impact on my academic path, and I aspire to do the same for the next generation. I view teaching as an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences in a way that empowers students to think critically, ask meaningful questions, and apply what they learn to drive innovation and change in the industry and beyond.
A key part of my approach is integrating AI and data analytics into finance education. I believe these tools are essential for understanding modern financial markets and decision-making. In my courses, students work with real financial data and apply machine learning models to explore how technology enhances forecasting, valuation, and analysis.
My goal as an instructor is to facilitate meaningful learning while fostering a classroom environment that is both intellectually stimulating and enjoyable. I want my students to leave the course not only with a strong understanding of financial concepts but also with the confidence to apply them as practitioners and leaders who positively influence their organizations and communities.
