Zhengzhuo (Zyaire) Li is a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in Finance at the University of Tennessee and is currently on the 2025–2026 academic job market. He joined the Ph.D. program in 2021 after earning a B.S. in Management with a double major in Finance and Marketing from Tulane University and an M.S. in Business Analytics from Wake Forest University. His research centers on empirical corporate finance, with particular emphasis on corporate governance, managerial characteristics, executive compensation, and board structure.

His research has been published in the Journal of Banking and Finance and presented at major finance conferences, including the AFA, MFA, FMA, SFA, and SWFA annual meetings.
