Villa Maria Academy High School offers some opportunities for our students to earn needed credits through select summer offerings. Each of these offerings replicate the work done in the course as it would run during the academic year and are taught by our own faculty.
Students are not required to take any coursework in the summer months. These classes are offered in an effort to make more room in the class schedules of students who might need such accommodations.
Requirements and guidelines for registering for any of these classes vary from one class to another. Please see below for details.
Registration and payment for any summer course is required by Thursday, May 22, 2025.

This curriculum is designed to promote self-responsibility, motivation, and excellence in learning as well as a lifelong commitment to wellness. This course will include content on decision-making, nutrition, substance use and abuse, and it will explore the HIV/AIDS and STD curriculum provided by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Students also will be provided opportunities to explore current issues in health. The goal of this curriculum is for the students to acquire the knowledge and life skills necessary to make informed decisions regarding their health and well-being.
This course will be a purely asynchronous, self-paced course delivered via Schoology. Students enrolled in this summer course can expect to have required readings, projects, assignments, quizzes, and tests. There will be due dates for all projects, assignments, and assessments.
