In September 2019, all CORE accounts have been reset to use the @scorevolunteer.org email address as login. The username you used to have will no longer work. For most, the Profile email was also reset, but that apparently did not happen for everybody.
IMPORTANT: There are two systems for login - please read and re-read Branded SCORE Email article until you understand the difference between Gmail login and CORE login.
IMPORTANT: As a SCORE volunteer, you also have a Profile email in addition to your CORE email and login credentials. There are two places that you need to check.
Please do not shoot the messenger, me, Martin Vlach. I didn't design the system. It is *really* complicated, and I am so looking forward to the new Engage system. I only just now, after almost 6 months of working on this, realized that there really are three places where your email is used now:
This information does not apply for anybody who joined after 2018.
After you get your @scorevolunteer.org email, you should change your settings in CORE, and you should change your Profile email. It will make it easier to remember how to log in to the two systems (see Branded SCORE Email) - use the same username and password - and to get all your SCORE emails in one place.
To change your username and password in CORE, first login to CORE as usual (not with your new @scorevolunteer.org account). Then, go to CORE -> Edit Account Settings:
IMPORTANT: After you get to the account settings page, WAIT about a minute so that the page updates correctly. I don't know what this is about, but if you don't wait, you'll get frustrated because you see wrong information. The page is ready when there is an entry in the Password field. Here is what mine looks like after I made the changes to use my @scorevolunteer.org email:
Change the three places to your new @scorevolunteer.org email address, and reset your password so that it is the same as the Gmail password. I recommend this to keep your sanity so that you don't have to constantly think of which account you're logging in to.
Finally, remember to Save.
To change the email in your SCORE Volunteer Profile, make sure that you are in the Volunteer Center and not CORE - if you are in CORE, click on "Go to Volunteer Center" at right top. Make sure you are on the Home page. You should see this:
Click on the "My Profile" tab to see your profile. Mine looks like this:
To see and perhaps edit your Profile email, click "Edit My Profile" and verify or change your email address:
Finally, remember to scroll all the way down, and Save your changes if you made any.
That's it. Now both of the systems have the same login credentials and so does your SCORE Profile. You'll be getting all your SCORE emails in one place.
Note: You may still need to request that your Constant Contact email address be changed - do that by contacting me. And you may still be getting emails from other places such as SBA at your private email address, but we have no control of that. It's up to you to change your preferences with other organizations.
