One of the objectives of the East Zone Science and Technology Centre at VJC is to provide a platform for students to develop an interest in research and to nurture youths as research talents for Singapore.
The objective of the A*STAR-VJC Science Fair is to give students from schools the experience of conducting an investigative science project and provide them with a platform to present and share their findings with others, where they will also be assessed by external judges from various research institutes. Each year, the fair also attracts a fair number of schools who send students as attendees to the fair which allows A*STAR to reach out to schools in the East Zone that we do not normally engage.
