1. Go to Data sheet.
2. Edit the A1 cell at top-left corner of Data sheet.
3. Select the subject from drop-down- in cell J1. Select class from drop-down- in cell L1. The class combinations will be added in cell N1 onwards automatically.
TY Botany, for example, conducts combine lectures for the the combinations BOT, TBZ, BCH and TCB. So the codes for these combinations will appear in cell N1, O1, P1 and Q1 automatically.
(Note: For Foundation Course template, codes need to be added manually in cell N1 onwards.)
4. Rename the Attendance (XYZ) sheets with appropriate class code. If there exist multiple subject combinations for a class then make copies of the Attendance (XYZ) sheet depending upon number of combinations and rename the copies with appropriate class codes in each.
TY Botany, for example, will have 4 attendance sheets as Attendance (BOT), Attendance (TBZ), Attendance (BCH) and Attendance (TCB).
5. Add respective code(s) in the cell N1 of the Attendance (XYZ) sheet(s).
TY Botany, for example, will have BOT, TBZ, BCH and TCB in cell N1 of Attendance (BOT), Attendance (TBZ), Attendance (BCH) and Attendance (TBC) respectively.
6. Share the file with the class teacher and teachers.
7. Protect the Attendance (XYZ), Attendance % and Codes sheets. (Note: Codes sheet is not needed for Commerce, hence, not applicable.)
8. Protect the range (A1:FA8) in Data sheet as Data Sheet Header and range (A9:A150) as Data Sheet 1st Column. Range protection for the former is presented in the pictures below. Follow the same steps for the latter.
9. Go to Attendance % sheet. Add the name of Attendance (XYZ) sheet(s) in cell A6 onwards. The name(s) will appear in the drop-down in cell B1.
