OUR GOAL is to engage all interest-holders to understand the community’s needs, wants, and assets.
OUR PURPOSE is to identify key areas of growth/need and to form collaborative working groups focused on direct action and resource allocation for prioritized concerns.
THE PROCESS is to engage in a series of focus groups as well as surveys and one-on-one conversations to ensure multiple data-points are garnered from all educational partners (students, parents, staff/teachers, and community partners) regarding their main concerns for the community as well as highlight actions that they may be willing to take within the community school's work. See each group's sub-page below for a more detailed outline of the process.
At Vista High, the Listening Project began with staff engagement to build buy-in. This foundation allowed for a seamless extension of the listening process to students, parents, and staff.
