Hello! My name is Kaili Palmer. This is my third year at VIDA; and I am excited to return to this amazing school. I have been teaching 8 years and began my teaching career in the Carlsbad Unified School District, where I taught elementary music.
I grew up in Carlsbad, CA. Later I moved to Los Angeles for college, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Music, with concentrations in performance (piano and voice) and ethnomusicology (study of world music and cultures) from Pomona College in 2004. After graduating, I wandered a bit exploring different careers within many different professional settings. In 2007, I decided to move to Italy after a brief stint as a law student, which did not truly appeal to me. While in Italy, history came to life and a light bulb lit up. I was suppose to be a teacher. On my return, I pursued my teaching credential to help bring history alive. Today, I hold my single subject credential with authorizations in Music, Social Science and English.
Other than being a teacher nerd, I love travel, art, nature and concerts! I hope to spend life exploring, learning and enjoying as I go.
