VVA Families,
We made it to October! We're a little over a third of the way through our first semester in the 2023/24 school year. This newsletter is a quick update for all the things you need to know in the coming weeks and reminders as we progress through the school year. The year has been off to a great start as all our students are learning the Edgenuity system. We are excited to see the hard work that our students are putting in each day. VVA teachers are proud to be able to support your students and their academic achievement.
Attendance Matters!
How do you get attendance at VVA?
You need to do more than just attend Advisory to get attendance. You receive attendance by submitting work and keeping progress in your classes. As an independent study school, attendance is taken by how much work you are submitting independently.
Be on the Look Out!
Progress reports will be in your mailboxes within the next week or two.
You can also access this through the Aeries portal
Geared towards families with children. The Alta Vista campus is holding a Fall Festival for the community. Bring your families to enjoy some lighthearted fun. See details to your left.
Edgenuity no longer assigns weekend work. If you are caught up at the end of the week, you'll be caught up on Monday!
Remember to turn in your Thrively Assignments on Friday! Make a calendar reminder if it would help you!
