Head Boys Soccer Coach 

This is my 4th year with the Mission Vista Boys Soccer Program. Before joining the Timberwolves I was the Head Boys Soccer Coach at San Marcos High School. I was the head coach for 8 years, where we won 3 League Titles, 2 CIF final appearance and Open Division Champion in 2018. I was honored with San Diego CIF High School Coach of the Year in 2018, I have just recently earned my USSF "C" Coaching License. I also spent 2 years as an Asst. Coach and Goalie Coach with Men's Palomar College Team.  I currently coach club soccer with Encinitas Express Soccer Club.  I was a First-Team All League player from San Clemente High School, played collegiately at Irvine Valley College and I graduated from Sonoma State University with an Economics Degree.  

Junior Varsity Coach

I have been a coach with Mission Vista since 2017. Before starting at Mission Vista, I coached for Vista High School on the Boys and Girls side from 2009-2016, heading the Junior Varsity teams. I have 8+ years experience and I have my Class "E" Soccer License. I have spent my soccer time coaching competitive soccer with Carlsbad Wave, NC United and North County Futbol Club "Stallions". I am a family man, I am the Father of six children, 2 boys and 4 girls. When I am not coaching soccer, I work as a Spa Technician from home, I help people with fixing their hot tubs and spas. 

 Varsity, JV, Novice Assistant

Coach Nau will be in his 3rd year coaching with Mission Vista High School. His day job is working on campus as Campus Supervisor. Coach Nau will be assisting all teams, mainly focusing on developing our novice team and guiding them to develop for future MVHS soccer levels.

Goalkeeper Coach

I have been playing soccer for the past 14-15 years. I started as a field player and ended up playing as a goalkeeper. I have been coaching high school soccer for the past two seasons with Coach Matt. My most enjoyable time playing soccer was playing for High School with all of my friends that I grew up with.  I played for San Marcos High School for two years. My senior year I helped the soccer program make the CIF Div II Finals for the first time in 17 years. I set a high school record by blocking 4 pk's in overtime to send our team to the CIF Finals.  I’m really into sports and music. I work for a Security Screen Company and I also work with and play in a Mexican Band. I also get paid to play on a Sunday League team. At some point I would like to go to college to study Criminal Justice.

Novice Coach 

Josh is a former player at Mission Vista and former Varsity Team MVP and Defensive Player of the Year! Josh as a player was selected All-League his Senior year. This is his first year coaching at MVHS and will be the head coach to our novice team. 

Assistant  Coach 

Coach Xavier has an extended background in coaching at the high school level. He will be coaching the Junior Varsity team and will be assisting with the Varsity team. This is his first year with Mission Vista High School. He has played soccer is whole life, played at club soccer at Encinitas Express and in adult soccer leagues in the North County.
