Multi-Cultural College Fly-In and Other Special Programs
Many colleges host diversity college fly-in visit programs. This list is by no means complete. If you are interested in a particular college, check the website for more information. Many of these programs take place in the fall and have application deadlines in August and September. You may also contact the college representative who may know about additional options not posted on the website.
Generally, diversity programs seek students who may have one or more of the characteristics below.
● Ethnicity: African-American, Hispanic, Latino, Asian, or Native-American
● Low-Income: Students who come from low-income families. Typically, these students fall in the guidelines listed at: http://www.fns.usda.gov/cnd/governance/notices/iegs/iegs.htm (Note: Students who fall in this category should consult with their college counselor about additional programs available)
