Carnegie Hall

Join us for a spectacular Spring performance with Carnegie Hall. This hour of music will be fun and interactive as you listen to the beautiful sounds of the violin, viola, cello, bass and piano. Connect with the artists and music through a talk back about the instruments and the pieces you will hear. If you are a lover of music this is a performance you don't want to miss! Crafts w/ Diana

Senior Council Mother’s Day Memory Tribute

Join the Senior Council as we honor and celebrate mothers and what they mean to us. Tell us your fondest memories of your mother, or a mother figure. Be it a funny story, a special memory, or something that your mother taught you. The limit is one minute per story, as we want to ensure everyone has an opportunity to speak. Limit is 15 speakers for this event. Please connect with Program committee member Paul Brown to sign up.
Cinco De Mayo Mother’s Day Brunch Celebration

Join us for our annual Mother's Day celebration with a twist. This year we will be having a Cinco de Mayo themed Mother’s Day event filled with delicious Mexican themed goodies. Everything from orange/seltzer mocktails, to make your own breakfast tacos, guacamole, and so much more. We are celebrating moms and those that are like moms to us. Join us for this festive occasion. Please note you must sign up for this event as we will only be offering enough food for those on the signup list. This event is limited to the first 40 people that sign up. This event is limited to registered members of the OAC. The last day to sign up for this event will be Friday, May 3rd. No last minute reservations will be made after this date.

Datadog Hosts Senior Snacktivities
Date: May 15th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Auditorium

Join us in promoting nutritious habits through the creation of non-cooking recipes, such as yogurt parfaits with seasonal fruits. Engage in arts and crafts activities like making stained glass window stickers and personalized seasonal hats. Come be a part of this enriching experience. We will be doing physical fitness as well such stretches, light exercises and fitness bingo.

Asian American and Pacific Island Heritage Month Movie Feature

In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we will be watching the award winning movie, The Farewell. The premise: A Chinese family discovers their grandmother has only a short while left to live and decide to keep her in the dark, scheduling a wedding to gather before she dies. Josh’s Movie Club

Starting June 6th join Jose in the computer lab to level up your typing skills and keyboard commands. Build a solid foundation by familiarizing yourself with basic navigation and keyboard orientation to boost your confidence with tech. Sign up in the office to reserve a spot as space is limited.

Food Pantry
Wednesdays between 11:00 AM and 2:00PM.
Participants must register for the pantry and there is a twice a month limit. All registered participants are welcome to pick up a pre-packed bag.

Senior Council Monthly Meetings
Please consider joining one of our Senior Council committees, we have the Fundraising committee, the Food committee, and the Programming committee. Stop by the office for more information. Please join the council and ensure your voice is heard.
Event Signups
Please note that OAC members 60 and over are given priority to sign up for events. Please note that events are space limited and often supplies are purchased based on RSVP numbers. If you sign up for an event, but need to cancel for any reason, please call the office (immediately/as soon as possible). We can open the waiting list or avoid excess purchases when you keep us informed.
Bar Codes
As a reminder, please bring your DFTA bar code down for meals for us to scan you in. No one will be denied a meal if you don't have one or if you forget. Please reach out to Diana or Elizabeth for a bar code. Please note that in the event you lose your barcode fob you will be issued a complementary replacement. Should you lose the replacement barcode fob we will charge $5 to replace it. Please ensure to keep your barcode fobs in a safe place.
CONSENT FORMS
The Department for Aging is requiring all senior center members to complete and sign off on consent forms in order to participate in the program. If you can fill out the top portion that includes your Last Name, First Name, Address and phone number and then sign on the bottom and return to the office that would be great. It can be emailed or mailed back to us as well if that is easier. If you need help please reach out to us and we can fill them out for you. If you already filled it out you do not need to fill it out again. You only have to do this one time. Please reach out if you have any questions.
