   1. Nominate and elect Co-Chair

   2. Consider and determine campus surveys to be given

   3. Determine areas of focus

   1. Puberty and Human Sexuality Curriculum

   2. Added December 9, 2021 as next meeting to review the survey questions

4. Adjourn

MINUTES:

1. The meeting was called to order at 4:20 pm with Dr. Hope Appel, Jeff Byrd, Katrina Price, Stefanie Merrell, Sandra Kieschnick, Glen Hutchins and Parent Kim Buesing via Zoom and Phone

ACTION ITEMS:

2. 1. Ms. Merrell made a motion to nominate Parent Kim Buesing as Co-Chair, second by Mr. Hutchins. Vote 6-0-1 with Buesing abstaining. Motion adopted.

2.2. Motion by Mr. Hutchins to have the middle school only do the Texas State Health Survey, second by Mrs. Price. Vote 7-0, motion adopted.

2.3 Motion by Ms. Merrell to focus on drug use and mental health for the high school survey, second by Mr. Hutchins. Vote 7-0, motion adopted.

DISCUSSION ITEMS:

3.1. Puberty and Human Sexuality Curriculum. Dr. Appel stated Health is up for adoption this year. We will get samples from textbook companies for middle and high school. We will get samples on puberty education for Shive.

3.2 The SHAC will meet again on December 9, 2021 at 4:00 pm in the Boardroom to review the survey questions.

4. Mr. Byrd made a motion to adjourn at 4:33 pm.
