Hi! I'm Miss Straut!

I am so excited to start the year with you in 4th Grade! 

A little about me as a teacher ...

This will be my 11th year of teaching! I am so excited to be back teaching 4th grade. Previously I taught 4th grade, 5th grade, STEAM and was the Literacy Coach here at GW! I have a huge passion for technology and reading! My favorite subject is Math, but I love all of the curriculum in 4th grade. I love helping students build independence and help to hone the skills they will need to be successful as they grow. 

Some of things about me ...

Some of you (probably students) may already know that I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan and love almost any book in the fantasy genre. I am a Gryffindor and would love to talk to any other HP Fans! I played lacrosse my whole life and love being active in general. I live for my morning coffee (Starbucks OR Dukin). If I had to live on one food for the rest of my life I would choose pizza. I have a very fluffy Maine coon cat name Fluffy.

I can't wait to learn more and more about your child and family as we start the school year!
