Curriculum Description

Pack your bags and get ready to travel back in time and explore the ancient civilizations. The year begins with a brief study of the early humans and how their discoveries led to the development of the first civilization. Next, we move onto learning about two monumental river valley civilizations, which emerged in Mesopotamia and ancient Egypt. Be prepared to excavate ancient tombs in Egypt and investigate the mummification process. Then, we are off to vote alongside the male citizens in ancient Greece and continue our travels through ancient Rome to attend a fierce gladiator fight, as we learn about the classical civilizations. Soon after, we are off to medieval times where we may attend the theater to familiarize ourselves with the European culture and its legacies.
