Licensed Pay Range: $60,000 - $100,000+
PROFESSIONAL LICENSING
Becoming licensed allows you to supervise and certify the work of surveying technicians, be a director of surveying divisions or companies, and/or run your own business. (Similar to professional engineers and architects.)
Typical Requirements (different for every state):
Various degree types that include certain amounts and kinds of surveying, math, and science classes.
Work a period of time under the supervision of a licensed surveyor.
Pass national and state exams.
How to Attend
Traditional College Experience
Attend classes in-person daily.
Live on campus or commute.
Distance Learning Experience
Attend some classes monthly.
Attend others completely online.
