I am #PillaProud to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year! It is an honor to continue to serve our students and I am grateful for the opportunity.
We are committed to making Pilla Middle School a safe, supportive and productive learning environment. Our faculty is busy preparing to support your child’s academic and personal growth, create innovative and engaging lessons, and provide a safe and healthy learning environment. It is our mission to foster a spirit of respect, collaboration, creative thinking and citizenship for all students. In this spirit we are encouraged about what will accomplish together this school year.
Below you will find information that should assist in navigating these first few weeks of school. We look forward to a safe, positive and productive year! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
At Pilla we are transitioning to a 1:1 technology learning environment. Each student will be assigned a MacBook for them to use for the school year. The MacBook will travel to and from school with the student so it is important to review our MacBook Handbook which is shared below. We are inviting you to come to our building on the following dates to pick up your assigned MacBook.
Thursday, September 3rd • 11:00am - 3:00pm
Friday, September 4th • 11:00am - 3:00pm
Note: Sept. 3rd and 4th will be introduction and operation days for students. We want teachers and students to get connected and get an idea of what to expect for the course those first two days. Please do not worry if you are unable to pick up a MacBook until Friday.
You are also not required to pick up a device. If you would prefer to use something you have at home that is fine.
Please use the link below to share that you have read the 1:1 Handbook. Thank you!
The Parent Portal is the quickest way to monitor and stay up-to-date on your child’s attendance, academic progress, and discipline in school.
Please take a moment to explore our Student Handbook. It will be helpful in finding information regarding our expectations, policies and procedures. Please feel free to contact our office should you have any questions
More often we are seeing issues arise at the school level because of technology and social media issues. Below is information on how to support your child in being a good digital citizen.
