Tatsuya, "Tats", joined towards the beginning of the 18-19 school year. At the beginning of his KVIKS TV career, he could be described as shy, and closed off. Teachers who have seen Tats participate in KVIKS TV, even from his early days, have often commented that he is a very smart and bright student. It did not take very long for Advisors to pick up on that raw, untapped potential. Tats now serves as the official KVIKS TV trainer because he is able to learn and retain almost every training given to him. Tats is an editor for the KVIKS TV Morning Bulletin and helps out at live streams as a camera operator or broadcast technician. Tats has played for the Hilo High Tennis team and is also a part of Japan Club.

Joseph Gardner

Class of 2022

Joined SY 19-20

Joseph basically was drafted into KVIKS TV. Towards the beginning of his time with us, he felt that he couldn't contribute much, but he strived to do his best. His best shown brightly as he took his place as the primary commentator for KVIKS TV athletic live streams. Joseph has commentated nearly every volleyball and basketball game since the beginning of the school year and has received a lot of praise from viewers and peers for overcoming fears of public speaking and making KVIKS TV appear actually professional in the eyes of industry partners. Joseph also plays Boys Volleyball for Hilo High School.

Nicholas Ehrhorn

Nicholas, "Nick", found his passion and people within KVIKS TV. After joining KVIKS TV and offering up his potential, he has once mastered the art of directing and training others in broadcasting. Nick has interned with Na Leo TV and continues to learn more about the broadcasting industry while pursuing other interests.

Akoni Ah Yo

Akoni tagged along with his friends after being, "told" to join KVIKS TV. Akoni promises to basically do anything Luke tells his to do. So he was told to be a studio operator.

Jordan Arthur

Class of 2022

Joined SY 19-20

Jordan began as a camera operator and broadcast technician at live streams and got involved with Technical Directing and App Development. Jordan also performed as an actress for the Hilo High Performing Arts Learning Center (PALC). In her senior year, Jordan joined school service for tech and is eager to become an editor.

Kainalu Aurello

Elias "Kainalu" Aurello joined KVIKS TV with an interest in editing. Kainalu helped with projects including providing lower thirds and other graphics using Adobe After Effects for the 2021 May Day and Commencement.

Christopher Babas

Christopher, "Chris", joined at the very beginning of the 19-20 school year. He may appear to be very quiet, but when he is comfortable around others, his personality shines the best. Chris contributed to the KVIKS TV Morning Bulletin and has had ideas for videos come to fruition. Chris was an online editor of the Hilo High School website and other online services. Chris did not return to KVIKS TV for SY 20-21 but did return for SY 21-22. Chris is now a part of the KVIKS TV Personnel Department where he schedules crew members to projects.

Rizaly Jane "Riz" Barlam

Rizaly, 'Riz", is a member of the newly formed Morning Bulletin Committee. Riz serves as a director of the morning bulletin for Wednesday and Thursday. Riz also loves playing Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza, even though she is pretty bad at remembering the order.

Canyon Barrilleaux

Canyon, affectionately called, "Billy" by his KVIKS TV peers, has yet to build a rich history with KVIKS TV. His enthusiasm is countered by his availability however, but has a motivation to be of any help possible. Canyon also participated as part of the Hilo High Swim Team.

Mason Bartolome

Mason "Motomoto", joined at the beginning of the 20-21 school year. Affectionally known as, "Madi's Brother", he is your go-to guy to move heavy objects, and consume food. Mason basically tags along with Luke in his crazy adventures.

Nazyrias Brown

Years Active: 3

Nazyrias, "Naz", was one of a handful of students influenced by their friends to join KVIKS TV. While the friend that encouraged him to join eventually left the program, Naz stayed faithful and continues to serve as an anchor on the KVIKS TV Morning Bulletin, and as a broadcasting crewmember. Naz received PBS Hawaii Hiki No training and was eager to put it to the test. Naz did not return to KVIKS TV for SY 20-21.

Camrenn Cabalar

Camrenn visited KVIKS TV while on a tour from his intermediate school. Since then, his interest has piqued and joined at the very beginning of the school year. Camrenn works as a studio operator and supervisor and has recently been commentating basketball games and editing the KVIKS TV Morning Bulletin.

Pressley Domingo

Pressley joined KVIKS TV at the beginning of the school year and has since then performed multiple duties including studio operator and writer for KVIKS TV sketches. Pressley's aptitude for creativity and technology has not gone unnoticed as he has been assigned to writing and producing the KVIKS TV Morning Bulletin as part of the KVIKS TV Studios. As a freshman, KVIKS TV Advisors are excited to see what the future holds with a fully trained and operational Pressley Domingo will do within his remaining years at Hilo High School.

Yo, yo, yo, wassup? Nga joined KVIKS TV at the beginning of the 21-22 School Year. He arrived very quietly with his very loud group of friends named NITCHELL and RICHerd. Nah, nah, nah... <_<". Nga quickly learned how to do all the studio stuff and was trusted with the newly established Morning Bulletin Committee. Nga is basically in charge of the morning bulletin.

Pohaku joined at the beginning of the school year and has served as a camera operator and broadcast technician at broadcasts. Pohaku had an opportunity to intern with Na Leo TV at one of their girls volleyball live streams as a camera operator. Pohaku was a photographer for KVIKS TV and also was a part of the sketch crew. Pohaku is also a part of the Hilo High Swim Team. Pohaku did not return to KVIKS TV for SY 20-21 but did return SY 21-22.

Trenton... yes. Trenton loyally listened when Luke said, "Don't come unless invited." While that was the case to limit the amount of physical bodies in the KVIKS TV lab, we have hopes that Trenton will return to us and start helping out again.

Tammi is ultimately the favorite KVIKS senior. She's beautiful, kind, smart, talented, responsible, tall, green eyed and blonde. Never in a million years have we met anyone like her. She's just incredibly important to us all. Fortunately, she will never be replaced because she's just THAT rare of a gem. Regardless of what others might say, we all agree she's the bestest!

Nathan joined KVIKS TV and was appointed to Operations Administrative Assistant. Nathan worked on multiple projects and was always willing to assist in little side-projects as well. Nathan is part of the Hilo High Viking Band and Orchestra. Nathan is also brother to KVIKS TV alumnus Milan Ragasa.

Emily "Erin", joined KVIKS TV with her friends. Her can do attitude made it very easy to give her a role of leadership. Erin was appointed to the position of Production Manager during SY 20-21 and was tasked to keep all members and advisors in check. Erin was vital in ensuring things got done for May Day and Commencement. Erin's role of Production Manager means she has her finger on the very pulse of KVIKS TV.

Blaine always was one of those, "weirdos" that would hang out with KVIKS TV Alumnus Dustin Pelekai. But since then, he was convinced to join but didn't really do anything until he started to volunteer as the KVIKS TV Catering Department. Since then, Blaine is basically the golden boi of KVIKS TV. He is the provider of food, and light. He is learning so much from his experience, he even has his own desk!

GERALD!.... is the scapegoat of pretty much anything that goes wrong in KVIKS TV. Don't let that smile FOOL you, interacting with him will just make you exclaim: "DANG IT GERALD!" Gerald did not return to KVIKS TV for SY 20-21. BUT THEN HE MADE AN EPIC COMEBACK!
