About Us

How did the program come about?

The idea for this program came from the Superintendent of Vigo County Schools, Dr. Rob Haworth, and the President and CEO of Union Hospital, Steven Holman, coming together and discussing a need to integrate more health and nutrition programming into our schools. They both saw a need in our community for kids to learn the importance of improving their overall health.

The program was started in February 2022, when Annie Noble, the Director of the VCSC Coordinated Health Program, was brought on to begin bringing in health initiatives. The beginning initiatives covered sugary drink education, eating disorder education, and applying for grant opportunities to begin making real changes in our schools!

With the addition of the navigators and through grant funding opportunities, we have a lot of fun and exciting programming coming up! If you have any ideas on how we can better your school or partner with your organization, please contact us below!
