Class overview
In this classroom, I expect our learning to take place in an efficient and effective manner. In order to do that, students must understand classroom rules and procedures. My goal is to have every student improve their reading and vocabulary comprehension while gaining collaboration skills.

Meet Mrs. Ward
My name is Megan Ward and I am happy to be here at Honey Creek Middle School. I graduated from Illinois State University with a major in Elementary Education and minor in Psychology while also playing volleyball for the Redbirds. I received my Master's from Indiana State University in Recreation and Sport Management while I was an assistant coach for their volleyball team. For four years, I served as the Director of Recreation for the Terre Haute Parks Department before I decided to go back into teaching. I was an RtI (Response to Intervention) Coach with the Covered Bridge Special Education District for 2 years, then taught 5th grade at Central Elementary School in South Vermilion School Corp. for 2 years before spending 3 years teaching English remediation at West Vigo Middle. I came to Honey Creek in 2016 and I'm proud to be a Bee!
I currently live in east Terre Haute with my husband and 2 children (Owen-15 and Ashlyn-13 I love being a teacher and hope that my passion to educate inspires children to learn.
