ASK PATIENT TO APPLY ELECTRODES AS IT SHOWS ON THE PATIENT CARD
CONNECT THE LEAD WIRES TO THE ELECTRODES
2.1 white wire goes on the right
2.2 black wires goes on the left side same level and position as the right one
2.3 red wire goes on the left side on the ribcage below the breast
3. CONNECT THE OTHER END OF THE WIRES WITH THE MONITOR
4. PRESS THE BUTTON ON THE FRONT OF THE MONITOR FOR 2 SEC TO START UP THE DEVICE
5. WHEN “WELCOME SCREEN” SHOWS UP ASK THE PATIENT TO PRES THE “ + “ SIGN TWICE
6. WHEN THE ENROLLMENT FLIPS TO ACTIVE ASK THE PATIENT TO RECORD A MANUAL TEST RECORDING
Employ the following procedure when applying electrodes to a patient and connecting them to the Clarus 40M:
1. Select electrode sites to match the configured electrode configuration shown in the following figure or as instructed by the physician. Select areas over bone, avoiding muscle areas and breast tissue.
2. Clean electrode sites with alcohol and use a razor to remove hair.
3. Abrade electrode sites with a scrub pad or gauze. Allow sites to dry before applying electrodes.
4. Connect the patient lead wire to the electrode snap.
5. Remove the protective backing from the electrode.
6. Apply the electrode to the skin, pressing the border firmly to ensure consistent adhesion. Make sure to match electrodes to the selected configuration from the following figures or as instructed by the physician.
7. To alleviate tension on electrode snaps, loop patient lead wires and tape down.
NOTE: When plugging cable into device, cord faces up (away from patient). The cable might need some force to be completely inserted.
Clarus Error Codes
Ask patient/clinic to tap the "+" twice to activate the monitor
Wait until patient see the message “Monitoring-to record an event touch the +.
Ask the patent to record a manual event
Ask the patient/clinic to restart the device
Make sure the device is connecting
Remind the patient/clinic to charge the device
Delete current enrollment with LW plugged in the monitor
Restart and wait to say "DONE MONITORING"
Check in the Monitor
Restart the Device and wait for "WELCOME" screen
Create new enrollment
Remind the patient/clinic to charge the monitor
Ask the clinic to leave the monitor with LW plugged in
Ask IT to reenable the check in button
End the study and wait for the Monitor to say DONE MONITORING
Check in the device
Device need to be checked in by IT-email IT
When IT responds have patient Restart the Device, after a minute the device will restart again and will show WELCOME screen
Have patient tap the PLUS twice
Check in the Device and watch for WELCOME screen
Device status will show available in the Device management
Create new enrollment if needed
1.Clinic did not start the study correctly from the WELCOME screen
1.1 End the enrollment-ask the clinic to end the enrollment
1.2 Check in the device and wait for WELCOME screen
1.3 Create new enrollment
2. Clinic accidentally checked in the device
Enrollment RED-reset the device, charge and set the device aside to finalize. If enrollment doesn’t go green or device reads “00”in top left email IT to force finalize
Enrollment GREEN- charge and set the device aside to finalize
Make sure the device has good cell signal and reconnects
It is an indication the monitor hasn’t been charged or needs to be replaced
Ask patient when they last charge the device
If more than a day ago have patient charge it for 2 hours
Have patient call back if device still not coming ON
Replace the device
