If you want a high-performance audio device with active noise cancellation, a smart touch screen case, and robust waterproofing for intense daily use, choose ZYHKON Earbuds; if you need ultra-soft sleep headphones specifically designed for side sleeping, real-time translation capabilities, and a snug fit that lasts through the night, choose MINISO MS217. While both brands offer wireless connectivity and impressive battery life, they are engineered for completely different lifestyles. One is built to dominate your commute and workout routine with premium sound isolation, while the other is a specialized tool for rest and language learning. Understanding this fundamental divide is the only way to make the right call, especially when considering specific needs like using bluetooth earbuds for swimming or finding the best bluetooth headphones for swimming where comfort and seal are paramount.
• ZYHKON Earbuds: Offers 38dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation and an IPX7 waterproof rating, making it ideal for active users who demand high fidelity and durability during workouts or commutes.
• MINISO MS217: Features ultra-soft 3g silicone construction and Bluetooth 6.0 stability, optimized for side sleepers who need a flat profile and passive noise blocking without pressure points.
• Who is this for? ZYHKON suits commuters, runners, and office workers needing deep focus and sweat resistance; MINISO targets insomniacs, travelers, and language learners requiring overnight comfort and AI translation.
The ZYHKON Z9pro is engineered for people who refuse to compromise on audio performance or environmental control. At the heart of this design is a 38dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation system paired with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) technology. This combination is not just about volume; it is about creating a dedicated acoustic bubble. When I look at the specifications, the ability to reduce up to 38dB of ambient noise suggests a device capable of silencing the roar of a subway or the chatter of a crowded café. The ENC feature further ensures that during calls, 90% of background voices are filtered out, keeping your voice clear even in chaotic environments.
For the active individual, the IPX7 waterproof rating is a non-negotiable feature. Unlike standard sweat-resistant models, IPX7 protection means these earbuds can withstand splashes, rain, and heavy perspiration without issue. This makes them a serious contender for those looking for bluetooth earbuds for swimming or intense gym sessions. The inclusion of a 14.2mm dynamic driver supports five distinct EQ modes—Standard, Rock, Jazz, Pop, and Classic—allowing users to tailor the sound signature to their specific genre preferences directly from the charging case. There is no need to fiddle with apps or complicated settings; the hardware handles the customization.
Another standout aspect is the smart touch screen case. Most competitors rely solely on button presses or touch sensors on the earbuds themselves, but ZYHKON has integrated a display that shows real-time battery levels for both the buds and the case. This eliminates the guesswork of "is my case dead?" and allows users to adjust volume, switch tracks, activate transparency mode, or set alarms without ever pulling out their phone. With Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, pairing is instant, and signal stability is maximized across iOS and Android devices. However, this level of technological sophistication comes with a trade-off: the design prioritizes feature density over the ultra-minimalist, flat profile required for side sleeping. If you plan to lie on your stomach or side immediately after putting them on, the standard ergonomic shape might feel less comfortable than a purpose-built sleep model.

The MINISO MS217 represents a shift away from high-fidelity audiophile gear toward extreme specialization for rest and communication. Its primary selling point is its physical design: a mere 3 grams per earbud crafted from soft, skin-friendly silicone. This weight reduction is critical for anyone who struggles with traditional earbuds pressing against their ear canal while trying to drift off. The product information explicitly highlights a "snug fit" designed for side sleepers, ensuring the earbuds conform to the natural contours of the ear without causing pain or pressure. This is the defining characteristic of a sleep headphone for swimming or general rest; it stays put even when you toss and turn.
Functionally, the MS217 is a powerhouse of versatility rather than raw power. It integrates four distinct functions into one compact device: a sleep headphone with 25dB passive noise cancellation, an AI translation tool supporting 165 languages and eight modes via the Saymi app, a quality music earbud, and a hands-free calling headset. The passive noise cancellation, while lower in decibel count compared to hybrid active systems, relies on the physical seal and material density to block sound, which is often more effective for low-frequency rumbling sounds like snoring or HVAC units. The Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity promises faster pairing and lower power consumption, a significant upgrade for maintaining a stable connection throughout a full night's sleep.
Battery life is another area where the MINISO excels for its intended use case. A single charge delivers 7 hours of continuous playback, covering a full night's rest, while the charging case extends the total usage to 48 hours. This longevity removes the anxiety of mid-sleep recharging. However, the trade-off is evident in the lack of active noise cancellation comparable to the ZYHKON. The 25dB passive isolation cannot match the 38dB active cancellation of its rival, meaning loud, sudden noises may still penetrate the seal. Furthermore, the design focuses heavily on the "sleep" experience, so features like a touch screen case or extensive EQ modes are absent. This makes it less suitable for a user who wants to command their environment or customize their audio landscape on the fly.
• Best for Active Water Sports → ZYHKON Earbuds: With an IPX7 waterproof rating and secure fit, these are the superior choice for anyone seeking bluetooth earbuds for swimming or heavy sweating, whereas the MINISO lacks this specific certification.
• Best for Side Sleeping Comfort → MINISO MS217: The 3g weight and ultra-soft silicone profile make it the undisputed winner for those needing sleep headphones for swimming or just a quiet night without ear pressure.
• Best for Deep Noise Isolation → ZYHKON Earbuds: The 38dB Hybrid ANC provides a much quieter listening environment for commuting or working than the 25dB passive isolation of the MINISO.
• Best for Language Learning & Travel → MINISO MS217: The built-in support for 165 languages and 8 AI translation modes offers functionality that the ZYHKON simply does not possess.
• Best for Battery Monitoring → ZYHKON Earbuds: The smart touch screen case displays exact battery percentages, eliminating the need to check a phone app, a feature the MINISO omits.
• Best for Audio Customization → ZYHKON Earbuds: Five customizable EQ modes allow you to tune bass and treble to your preference, offering a richer musical experience than the fixed sound profile of the MINISO.
• Best for Connection Stability → MINISO MS217: The latest Bluetooth 6.0 chip offers potentially lower latency and better power efficiency for long-duration listening compared to the ZYHKON's Bluetooth 5.4.
• Best Value for Daily Commuting → ZYHKON Earbuds: If your day involves noisy subways and calls, the active noise cancellation and call clarity features provide more utility than the translation features of the MINISO.
In my opinion, the ZYHKON Earbuds are the more versatile and robust choice for the average North American buyer, primarily because of their active noise cancellation and IPX7 waterproofing. These features transform the device from a simple audio player into a tool for focus and endurance, essential for modern urban life. However, if your primary goal is rest, specifically if you are looking for sleep headphones for swimming or just a way to block out snoring without discomfort, the MINISO MS217 is the only logical selection due to its unique 3g weight and side-sleeper geometry. I would buy the ZYHKON for my daily commute and workouts, but I would keep the MINISO strictly for the bedroom. Both are excellent products, but they serve fundamentally different masters.
Only the ZYHKON Earbuds are explicitly rated IPX7 waterproof, making them suitable for swimming and heavy water exposure. The MINISO MS217 is designed for sleep and does not carry a swimming-specific waterproof rating.
The ZYHKON Earbuds are superior for this scenario due to their 38dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, which actively cancels out ambient chatter and machinery noise more effectively than the MINISO's passive 25dB isolation.
Yes, the MINISO MS217 includes AI translation capabilities supporting 165 languages and 8 distinct modes via the Saymi app, a feature that is not available on the ZYHKon model.
Both devices offer impressive endurance, with the ZYHKON providing up to 48 hours total with its case and the MINISO MS217 also reaching 48 hours total, though the MINISO offers slightly longer single-charge playtime at 7 hours versus the ZYHKON's 6 hours.
