If you want a durable, no-frills audio solution for classroom bulk use with standard on-ear comfort, choose ZXQZYM USB C Kids; if you need slightly better passive isolation and a fabric finish for extended listening sessions or casual DJ practice, choose GDBOMA USB C Headphones.
• ZXQZYM USB C Kids: Strengths lie in its simple, robust on-ear design and lack of unnecessary features, making it ideal for high-volume school environments; the trade-off is zero noise cancellation and basic plastic construction that offers less isolation.
• GDBOMA USB C Headphones: The standout feature is its passive noise cancellation combined with an over-ear fabric enclosure for superior comfort during long periods; the trade-off is a slightly more complex build that might be overkill for quick classroom drills.
• Who this is for: Pick ZXQZYM for strict budget-conscious bulk orders where durability and simplicity rule; pick GDBOMA for users who prioritize listener comfort and sound isolation for activities like DJing or focused online learning.
The ZXQZYM USB C Kids headphones are engineered with a very specific purpose in mind: they are built for the chaos of a classroom or a busy travel environment where equipment gets tossed around frequently. These wired headphones utilize a straightforward on-ear placement, which means the earcups rest directly against the outside of your ears rather than surrounding them completely. This design choice often appeals to younger children or teens who find bulky over-ear styles too hot or restrictive during active learning sessions. With a 32-ohm impedance, these units are designed to work seamlessly with standard tablets, laptops, and Chromebooks without requiring any special amplification or drivers, ensuring that students can plug in and start learning immediately.

The "Mixed Colors" aspect of the product description suggests these are intended for group settings where individual identification isn't strictly necessary, but visual variety helps manage expectations among students. Since the model number ZX551 carries a one-year warranty, there is a clear expectation of reliability from the manufacturer for educational institutions. This is a critical detail for anyone considering these for a noisy environment or for personal use where focus is required. If you are looking for anc kids headphones for dj style isolation, this product simply does not have the engineering to provide that barrier against ambient sound.
You should buy the ZXQZYM USB C Kids if you are outfitting a computer lab, a library, or a bus fleet where the primary goal is getting audio to many people cheaply and reliably. The on-ear shape is generally lighter and less intrusive, which is great for short bursts of listening or for kids who are sensitive to pressure on their heads. However, you should skip this option if you plan to use these headphones for anything requiring deep concentration in a loud room, or if you are a beginner DJ trying to isolate a beat from background noise. The lack of passive noise cancellation means the outside world will always bleed through to your ears.
In contrast, the GDBOMA USB C Headphones introduce a different set of priorities into the equation, focusing heavily on comfort and environmental isolation. The defining characteristic here is the "Over Ear" earpiece shape paired with an enclosure made of fabric. This combination typically provides a larger seal around the ear cup compared to on-ear designs, which naturally helps block out external sounds even without active electronics. For someone asking about best earphones for dj scenarios on a budget, this passive isolation is a significant advantage over open-back or on-ear alternatives.
The fabric material used in the GDBOMA design also suggests a focus on long-term wearability. While the ZXQZYM relies on standard materials, the inclusion of fabric often implies better breathability, reducing heat buildup during extended listening sessions. Like its competitor, these are wired via USB Type C, ensuring compatibility with modern devices, and they share the same 32-ohm impedance, meaning they will drive easily from most student laptops or phones. The model GDB381 comes with a similar one-year warranty, indicating that GDBOMA stands behind the build quality of their fabric-covered cups.
This product is perfect for the student who needs to focus on online classes, the parent managing screen time for a child in a busy household, or indeed, a hobbyist DJ practicing mixing techniques who needs to hear the low-end frequencies without interference from room noise. You should buy the GDBOMA if comfort and sound isolation are your top two criteria. However, if you are equipping a room full of energetic kindergarteners who might rip off headsets constantly, the fabric and over-ear structure might be slightly more delicate or prone to snagging compared to the rugged, simpler on-ear design of the ZXQZYM.
• Best for Passive Isolation: The GDBOMA wins hands down due to its over-ear design and explicit passive noise cancellation feature, whereas the ZXQZYM has none.
• Best for Active/On-Ear Comfort: The ZXQZYM is better for those who dislike the feeling of cups clamping around their ears, offering a lighter, more minimal profile.
• Best for Durability in High-Traffic Areas: The ZXQZYM's simpler, likely harder-plastic on-ear construction may withstand rough handling better than the fabric-wrapped over-ear GDBOMA.
• Best for Long Listening Sessions: The GDBOMA's fabric enclosure likely offers superior breathability and comfort for hours of continuous use compared to the on-ear ZXQZYM.
• Best for DJ Practice: For anyone interested in in ear earbuds for dj workflows (or over-ear equivalents), the GDBOMA is the only viable choice here because of the isolation provided by the passive noise cancellation.
• Best Compatibility: Both products are identical in connectivity (Wired USB Type C) and impedance (32 ohm), so neither has an advantage in terms of device compatibility.
• Best for Classroom Bulk Orders: Both offer mixed colors and come in 10-packs, but the decision here rests entirely on whether you value isolation (GDBOMA) or rugged simplicity (ZXQZYM).
• Best Value for Focus: If the user needs to tune out the world to learn or mix, the GDBOMA provides more value per dollar because it actually helps achieve that silence.
I would buy the GDBOMA USB C Headphones for my own personal use and for any scenario involving focused listening or creative work like DJing. While the ZXQZYM is a solid, utilitarian tool for schools, the GDBOMA's passive noise cancellation and over-ear fabric design make it far superior for anyone who wants to truly immerse themselves in audio. The ability to block out ambient noise is not just a luxury; it is a functional necessity for understanding audio nuances, something the plain on-ear ZXQZYM cannot deliver. For a DJ setup or serious study, the extra comfort and isolation of the GDBOMA justify the choice every time.
