Z Water Solutions continues the story of Zachary Dean. I had my start in the water quality field on my own. A family member that worked for a city water department motivated me to begin gathering resources to learn the field of study. This self-driven attitude impressed my first employer the Seeley Lake Water District to hire me with no license or experience. In a short time of some months, I was able to study and secure a surface water treatment license. After hearing of my father dying of cancer, the District and I understood of the need to change. Since leaving the Seeley Lake Water District I have continued in the water business as a consultant for a nonprofit organization, and also as an operator for a small public water supply system.
I continue to receive training based on the recommended CEC's from Montana Department of Environmental Quality. I also am a member of AWWA (American Water Works Association), and a member of the Montana Section of AWWA (MSAWWA). Recently in June of 2021 I completed the ABPA (American Backflow Prevention Associtation) course and have received certification as a BPAT (Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester).
During the last 19 years of consulting and an operator of a public water supply system, I worked as a professional window cleaner, specifically in the high rise (RDS) field. Being paid to hang from a rope is an enjoyable experience!
