About Me 

Hello, I’m Marta, an architect, and in 2024 my husband Paulo and I began a very special project: giving new life to Casa da Zu.

The renovation was both thoughtful and extensive, guided by a simple but essential idea — to create a space that feels modern and functional, while preserving the true soul of a home. A place where comfort, authenticity and a sense of calm are felt from the very first moment.

Throughout the process, every detail was carefully considered: natural light, materials, the flow between spaces and the overall atmosphere we wanted to create. Our aim was to design a house that feels welcoming, serene and harmonious — elegant, yet never pretentious. A place that invites you to slow down and truly feel at home.

Although hosting is a recent chapter for us, we approach it with genuine dedication. Welcoming guests has become a natural extension of how we think about space: with care, respect and discreet attention. We value clear communication, real comfort and a warm, unhurried experience for everyone who stays with us.

Casa da Zu is, above all, a place created with intention. A peaceful retreat for families, couples or anyone seeking rest, inspiration or a quiet moment away from the rush of everyday life.
