I'm thrilled to showcase a variety of engaging activities that I've conceptualized and implemented in my class. Feel free to click and explore the materials I incorporate in my classes.
The following are two archetypal activities of my activity portfolio. I have tailored the two activities according to my students' needs in daily life and the teaching syllabus. While designing the two activities, I have also referenced the principles of 5Cs by ACTFL.
Activity 1 simulates a real-life scenario where students engage in ordering food at a Chinese restaurant. The purpose of designing this activity is to enhance students' abilities in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, preparing them for future ordering experiences in Chinese restaurants.
Activity 2 simulates a real-life scenario where students engage in asking for directions in Chinese while on the road. The purpose of designing this activity is to cultivate students' listening and speaking skills, preparing them for future work or study in Chinese-speaking environments.
