These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement made between you and ZotSwipe ("we," "us," or "our"), concerning your access to and use of the ZotSwipe mobile application.
You agree that by accessing the app, you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with all of these Terms of Service, then you are expressly prohibited from using the app and you must discontinue use immediately.
ZotSwipe is for anyone who wants to exchange meal swipes. By using this application, you represent and warrant that:
You are at least 18 years of age
You agree to comply with dining policies
To use ZotSwipe, you must register for an account using your Google account. You agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Maintain the security of your account
Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or breach of security
ZotSwipe facilitates the exchange of dining hall meal swipes. By using the app, you agree to:
Sell only valid meal swipes that you are authorized to use
List swipes at the designated price of $5.00 per swipe
Accurately represent the dining hall where your meal swipe can be used
Complete transactions you have committed to unless there are extenuating circumstances
Act in good faith during all transactions
Pay sellers promptly using the agreed-upon payment method
Provide honest ratings of transaction experiences
You may not:
Use the app for any illegal purpose
Attempt to sell fraudulent meal swipes
Attempt to circumvent the app's pricing structure
Sell or buy more than the allowed number of meal swipes
Create multiple accounts
Harass or engage in any abusive behavior toward other users
Attempt to defraud other users
Use the app to spam or solicit other users
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app
Use the app in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair the app
You must accept the standard price of $5.00 per swipe
You must deactivate your listing once sold
You may only have one active listing at a time
You agree to abide by the dining hall's policies
You agree to pay the seller the listed price upon successful transaction
You may purchase a maximum of 3 swipes per day
You must use the purchased swipe at the specified dining hall
You agree to communicate professionally with sellers
ZotSwipe does not process payments directly. All payments are arranged between users. By using the app:
You agree to handle payments responsibly and as agreed with other users
You understand ZotSwipe is not responsible for any payment disputes between users
You agree to use only the payment methods specified in the app
You acknowledge that ZotSwipe does not charge fees and receives no portion of transactions
You are solely responsible for all messages, ratings, and other content you post through the app. By posting content, you represent and warrant that:
You own or control all rights to the content
The content is accurate and not misleading
The content is not defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
The content does not violate the privacy or publicity rights of any third party
The app allows users to rate and review each other. By using this feature:
You agree to provide honest, accurate ratings based on actual transactions
You will not use the rating system to harass, defame, or unfairly target other users
You understand that your ratings contribute to your profile's reputation score
You acknowledge that ratings cannot be deleted, but may be disputed
ZotSwipe sends various notifications, including transaction alerts and messages. By using the app:
You consent to receive push notifications related to your account activity
You can manage notification preferences within the app settings
You acknowledge that certain critical notifications may not be disabled
The app and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of ZotSwipe. The app is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:
Reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or perform any of the materials on the app
Use any ZotSwipe trademarks without express written permission
Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms of Service.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms of Service. Upon termination, your right to use the app will immediately cease.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall ZotSwipe be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential damages, or any damages whatsoever including, without limitation, damages for loss of use, data, or profits, arising out of or in any way connected with the use or performance of the app.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ZotSwipe and its licensees and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of your use of the app.
These Terms shall be governed by and defined following the laws of the State of California. ZotSwipe and yourself irrevocably consent that the courts of California shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute which may arise in connection with these terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms periodically.

ZotSwipe is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the University of California or any of its campuses. All transactions are conducted privately between users. By using ZotSwipe, you acknowledge that you have read these Terms of Service, understand them, and agree to be bound by them.
